We’ve known director and ACS award winner, Jude Kalman since forever and so when she mentioned teaming up for a project aimed at bringing awareness to domestic violence, we were quick to jump on board. Executive producer, Summer Brown is a DV survivor and her personal experience helped us to capture scenarios and performances as true to life as possible.
2020 has seen a drastic increase in domestic violence cases and in many of these, children are the silent victims. Lessons shines a light on the voiceless DV sufferers and forms the centrepiece of an Australia-wide film competition, Impact Film Challenge, offering a platform for young people to tell their own stories from their perspective.
